Entry Requirements and Visas.

Immigration Control: Who Needs a Study Visa?

If you’re not a South African citizen or permanent resident, you’ll need to comply with immigration regulations to study in South Africa. This includes obtaining a valid Study Visa for programmes lasting more than three months. At AIFT, we welcome students from around the world, and a Study Visa is essential for ensuring you can legally reside and focus on your education during your time here. Issued by the South African Department of Home Affairs, this visa confirms your legal status and supports a smooth transition into life and study in South Africa.

SAQA Evaluation

If you’ve earned your qualifications outside South Africa, they need to be evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) to ensure they meet local academic standards. This step is essential for admission to AIFT, as it helps confirm that your qualifications align with the requirements of your chosen programme. The evaluation report serves as proof that your qualifications are recognized, paving the way for a smooth application to AIFT.

English Language Proficiency

All programmes at AIFT are delivered in English, making proficiency in the language essential for successful communication and academic engagement. As a mandatory requirement, international students must have English included in their qualifications as evaluated by SAQA. This ensures that their language skills meet the standards necessary for effective participation in the programme and classroom activities.

AIFT reserves the right to request additional evidence of English proficiency if there are concerns about an applicant’s language competence based on their application or supporting documents. By ensuring students meet these standards, AIFT maintains a high-quality learning environment that supports academic success.

Fees and Funding.

Study Fees

All Fees Schedule at AIFT apply to each academic year of the qualification and are subject to annual review. International students should ensure they are aware of the total cost of their chosen programme and any potential increases in fees for subsequent years.

Paying Your study Fees
